Important
This theme uses TimThumb to resize pictures and requires the GD library, which is available on any host sever with PHP 4.3+ installed. Once installed and in-use, TimThumb will automatically create a /cache/ subfolder with proper write-permissions. If your host server doesn’t allow this by default, be sure to manually create /cache/ folder in your theme’s root directory and set permissions to 777.

I am interested in your beautiful “Fancy” theme.
I would like to understand more how “thumbnails” work in posts. Are they
included by the writer in the content of the post (with an “insert image” ) or
are they specified separately (as a custom field? )
What if a post has no thumbnails?
Thanks.
Regards,
Tom

Hello….
I messaged you before needed some help with this theme that I purchased. I cannot get the featured section of the page to work properly. Please respond. I need your help.

Hi Tim,
I apologize if I didn’t answer to your problem. I get a lot of requests and sometimes happens that I miss some.
I looked at your site and I noticed that TimThumb doesn’t save images. You have to create ‘cache‘ folder (/wp-content/themes/FancyTheme/cache/) and give it permission 777.

Great! That fixed some of the thumbnail problems. I’m still not able to get the larger preview panel to work. It has the “more details” link, but it’s not displaying images or the “desc”.
Any ideas?

Feature post/page is not displayed because you didn’t select what you want to display in that area.
Go to ‘Admin panel -> Appearance -> Themes options’ and enter desired value in field ‘Post/page Highlight IDs‘.

Thanks for your fast response!
Both of those settings are indeed selected. Any ideas? Is there a 3rd party plug-in of some kind I need to install. I read in your documentation that you use jQuery, and all of that seems to be in order.

No, that is all.
Can you create a guest account for me to take a look in admin. Sent it to me via mail info{at]mip-design.com.

I can’t get the homepage animation to work. Filled up everything as indicated in instructions including indicating posts to display. Thumbnails are also not working. Pls help urgently!

I’ve tried emailing you my website account but email bounced back. I cannot get the filmstrip to work despite following all instructions to the letter. When I place multiple post IDs, it just shows a blank box. When I put a single post ID, only the small thumbnail appears in place of the big picture. Pls help!
admin April 27th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Did you created “cache” folder in root directory of this theme and set filmstrip thumbnail dimensions??
Bill Hanekamp April 29th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
While I appreciate your quick responses and willingness to look into individual sites, you should consider posting the solutions or workarounds you having to do with people who can’t get the slideshow on the home page to work. I’m having the exact problem. And I’ve created the cash folder, and set all the dimensions. Can you just post what the solution is?

Sorry, again me but there is another problem with unconformity.
I want to use tabbed pages in my site and i’ve installed a plugin that called as posttabs (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/posttabs/) but after i installed, my Slider(in standard slider mode) isn’t showed in the site. Can you control this issue and give a solution? Thanks from now. Regards.

2nd request.
I’ve set all of the functions up as suggested (cache with 777 permissions) and still no pictures. What now?
Wordpress 2.8.4
PHP 5.x
GD library installed

I see that the pictures are working. What was wrong?
Sorry for late response, daily job is killing me.
